Open Issues
---------------------------------------------------------------
EDIE is based on the original source first written in 1991-1993. Due to the
expansive nature of EDIE from ED, some fundamental issues with the networking
aspects of the game have been uncovered and are currently indefinitely open.
For best results when saving a network game, the master player should always save
the game at the beginning of his turn when the network session needs to end and
play will resume at a later time.
-It is known that combat and recon reports for your opponent are not saved when a
Network Game is saved.
-It is known that some restarted network game smay have one player with extra movement
points for already moved units if he was a slave and the game was saved in the middle
of his active turn.
-It is known that extremely large games (256x256) can have problems with data
flooding/thrashing over a network, especially with computer players that get big
---------------------------------------------------------------
Adjustments from Version 3.513 to Version 3.514
---------------------------------------------------------------
Resignation in network games was occasionally causing problems on restart
SSU start would hang after unavailable Slot message
City Conquest stat not properly maintained across network games

City/Unit/Waypoint Displays now sort By X and By Y location (ascending) on toggle
Remote Slave Games Saved After Master Resigned could cause for bad reloads.
Fixed exposure of PBM player’s opponent map under certain conditions when a computer player is wiped out.
Redundant computer player defeated message in unique player setups removed
Worked around MS XP API Resource Error for loading images on some XP systems (usually unpatched ones)
---------------------------------------------------------------
Adjustments from Version 3.512 to Version 3.513

Ship movement paths were not getting deleted when replaced
Some of the drawing issues with map labels fixed on window scroll

---------------------------------------------------------------
Adjustments from Version 3.511 to Version 3.512
---------------------------------------------------------------
There was a possible endless loop in AI during particular bad pathing situations.
Commanders were not receiving enough bonus points for city gains in ratings.
Cities over 200% production could drop to 200% if left on 'No Production' too long.
Pathing one square out of a city when it is not possible could cause problems when
a unit tied to use that path
After the World build dll returns, the game would not use randomness in generating
icon terrain types
The display of Total Production Efficiency and Average Production Efficiency were
added to the City Report.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Adjustments from Version 3.51 to Version 3.511
---------------------------------------------------------------

up “No Production” button.
